Two statisticans are getting married?

Hannah and Garrett got to know each other, little by little, while pursuing their masters degrees in applied statistics at the University of Wyoming (Garrett graduated Fall 2021, Hannah in Spring 2022). With shared classes and workloads, they discovered that misery truly does love company — and, to their surpise, they felt significantly less miserable when they were together (in fact, quite the opposite!). From then on, they were inseparable, ditching study sessions for tranquil hikes, equations for recipes, and homework for house work at their apartment.

After running the numbers, they concluded that imperfect multicollinearity is key in a successful relationship. While strongly correlated in their beliefs, interests, and even careers, they each bring their own unique strengths and qualities that make them better together. In May 2024, Garrett proposed to Hannah in the Snowies — a place they both love and can’t wait to return to for their next big milestone.

Garrett's younger sister, Bryn, has sarcastically declared that "two data-scientists in one household is two too many". Hannah and Garrett, of course, disagree, and invite you to gather and celebrate their past, present, and future together this July in the Snowies!
